Briefing Notes

 

Registration : from 10.00 a.m. Friday 8th April 2011

 

Please have ready your current MAAA membership card as well as Heavy Model Permits if applicable.

 

Pilots, crew and BSR personnel will be given pin on names tags. It is essential that these be worn at all times at the field as they will be required for entry to pits and flight line. NO NAME TAG – NO ENTRY to these areas and NO FLYING.

 

Pilots will not be able to collect prizes which will be drawn throughout Saturday & Sunday if not wearing name tags.

 

Operations : Safety at all times is our primary objective

 

Pilots using 2.4 Mhz will not be required to use Tx Pound. All other frequencies will be required to store transmitters in Pound when not in use.

 

Before taking your model to the starting box, make sure your key is on the board and that it is now ‘YOUR’ frequency (except 2.4).

 

Engines are not to be started in the pits. If you need to test run engine an area at rear of pits will be available (subject to frequency availability)

 

Models must be physically restrained from the time the engine is started until permission is given for take off

 

When your frequency is available and you take your model to the ready box, please advise flight line control to put your number in the queue.

 

 

Stay with your model (If we cannot find you then you will be pushed down the line.)

 

Please take directions from the flight line staff,  they are they to make sure it all runs smoothly & safely

 

 

Once you have finished flying please notify the controller so that your number is removed.

 

Please limit the amount of people around the flight line. Should be Pilot & Helper only

 

FLYING : The Flight Line Director’s word is final.

 

No flying behind flight line or over any area where people are.

 

Flight Line Crew will give clearance to line up and take off.

 

If traffic permits pilot can request to perform various manoeuvres.

 

When preparing to land, call “LANDING” on downwind WITH AIRCRAFT TYPE.
